The surface of the WaterHog mats is made with solution-dyed polypropylene, which dissipates water for quick drying and will not fade or rot. The mats are backed with SBR rubber, containing 20% post-consumer recycled rubber from car tires, ensuring that the rubber will not crack or curl, allowing the mat to lie flat and remain in place.

The PET is made from post-consumer recycled plastic drink bottles, so when you purchase a product made with recycled PET, you are helping to keep dozens of plastic bottles out of our oceans and landfills.

The WaterHog mats are designed to be highly effective at stopping dirt at the door. The bi-level surface effectively scrapes dirt and moisture from shoes, trapping it beneath shoe level to prevent tracking. The water dam border holds moisture, keeping it off your floors, and the WaterHog mats can hold up to 1 ½ gallons of water per square yard.

The reinforced rubber nubs on the WaterHog mats prevent pile from crushing and extend the performance life of the mat. The solution-dyed polypropylene* fabric is resistant to staining, dries quickly, and will not fade or rot. The beveled edges provide a safe transition from floor to mat, and the mats are certified high-traction by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI).

All WaterHog mats are Prop 65 compliant and made in the USA. The 3' x 4' mat measures 35" x 45", but please note that mat sizes are approximate as rubber shrinks and expands in conjunction with temperature and time, with a tolerable manufacturing size variance of 3-5%.
